Nine rigs from the Lake Havasu City Moose RV Club traveled to Brenda, Arizona for a few days of fun in the sun. We stayed at the Desert Gold RV Resort located in downtown Brenda, in fact , I believe, the resort really comprised all of 'Brenda'. We , Ron & Barb Clark, Dennis & Julie Gunderson, Laurine & Leonard Larsen, Vern & Trish McGlynn, Fred & Shirley O' Camb, Bob & Bobbie Richards, Don & Kitty Schiffert and 'Jeep' & Audrey Schiffert arrived Tuesday March 13th and returned home Friday March 16th.
We has a scrumptious Mexican breakfast and a traditional Irish dinner of Corned Beef and Cabbage prepared by our leprechauns the O'Cambs and the Gundersons. Three cheers for our hosts, they did an outstanding job.
The mountainous area around Brenda was so inviting for off-roading adventure it was difficult to We also visited Quartzsite, AZ and Blythe, CA. Quartzsite to see what vendors were still open and what bargains could be had and Blythe to scout other sites for future campouts.
keep Dennis and Julie around camp for potato peeling and other KP chores. We did venture into the mountains each day. Did see bighorn sheep. Also we tried Geocaching. To learn more about Geocaching Click Here. We attempted to locate the Yellow Dog Cache but the volcanic rock formation where it is placed proved too difficult for us to climb and investigate.
